Adroit Prizes for Poetry and Prose (The Adroit Journal)
Highly selective prizes in poetry and prose for secondary and undergraduate students; winners are published in The Adroit Journal.
Our 2026 submission window will be from April 1 through May 1.
All secondary and undergraduate students are eligible, including international students.
Winners will be awarded $200, and their work will be featured in the Adroit Journal.
How to Apply
- Prepare up to five packets of poetry (each up to five poems) and/or up to five packets of prose (each up to three works, max 3,500 words combined)
- Submit entries via the online submission platform during the submission window
- Include a cover letter disclosing any simultaneous submissions
- Pay a non-refundable $15 submission fee or apply for financial assistance if needed
