One Teen Story Contest
Short story contest for teen writers; winner is published in One Teen Story and receives a cash prize.
The 2026 One Teen Story Teen Writing Contest will open on September 15, 2025 and close on December 1, 2025.
For our One Teen Story contest, we ask writers ages 13-19 to enter their original, unpublished fiction.
When you are ready to submit, please go to our online submission manager and select One Teen Story Contest followed by your age group.
How to Apply
- Submit original, unpublished fiction between 2,000 and 4,500 words
- Select One Teen Story Contest and your age group (13-15, 16-17, 18-19) in the online submission manager
- Receive confirmation email upon submission
- Provide proof of age if your story is considered for publication
- Parent or legal guardian consent required if under 18
