Rocky Mountain Conservancy High School Leadership Corps
Eleven-day immersive outdoor experience in Rocky Mountain National Park for Colorado high school students. Half the time is spent on conservation and recreation field projects, the other half on personal and professional development with a focus on careers in public lands and conservation. Funded through Rocky Mountain National Park license-plate sales and the National Park Foundation.

Arapahoe Rescue Patrol
All-volunteer search and rescue organization in Arapahoe County, Colorado, composed entirely of high school students who provide free search, rescue, and emergency services since 1957. Members complete 100+ hours of basic training (including 24 classroom hours and two 48-hour weekend field sessions) followed by a 6-month probationary period, then respond to rock climbing rescues, winter and avalanche operations, wilderness first aid, and support local law enforcement and fire departments. Recruiting opens in spring.
Children's Hospital Colorado Junior Volunteer Program
Year-round and summer volunteer opportunities for teens 13-18 at Children's Hospital Colorado, with a six-month minimum commitment of three hours per week. Volunteers support hospital departments and family events; outstanding volunteers are recognized with two $2,500 Junior Volunteer Recognition Scholarships annually.
Stevens Institute Pre-College: Biomedical Engineering
A one-week residential Stevens Institute of Technology program where high schoolers study biomedical engineering fundamentals, examine medical devices, meet industry professionals, and run labs analyzing physiological data.
Dauphin Island Sea Lab Residential Marine Science Class
A four-week residential marine science immersion on Alabama's Gulf Coast for rising 9th-12th graders, combining over 160 hours of fieldwork, labs, and lectures in oceanography and marine ecology, with need- and merit-based scholarships available.
