University at Albany RNA Institute High School Bioinformatics Summer Camp

A competitive virtual camp training students to analyze RNA-sequencing data through live lectures and mentorship, with an independent bioinformatics project based in neurodegenerative-disease research.

The RNA Institute High School Bioinformatics Summer Camp is a competitive summer training program held virtually for high school students.

We will be offering a rolling admissions basis until March 31, 2026.

Time commitment of 15-20 hours per week for four weeks

How to Apply

  1. Submit application by March 31, 2026
  2. Applications reviewed starting December 2025
  3. Accepted students receive welcome email by mid May with pre-course work
