Medusa Mythology Exam (National Mythology Exam)
An annual national exam for grades 9-12 testing knowledge of classical (Greek and Roman) mythology, administered by Excellence Through Classics, a committee of the American Classical League. Students take the exam through their school and can earn gold, silver, or ribbon awards.

Aequora Latin Program at St. Francis High School (Paideia Institute)
A Sacramento after-school program, part of the Paideia Institute's national Aequora initiative, where a high school student site coordinator and volunteers teach Latin literacy, grammar, and Roman culture to local middle schoolers. Billed as the Sacramento area's first free Latin program.
Catholic University of America Ancient Languages Online Summer Program
Live, synchronous online summer courses in Greek or Latin (plus Hebrew and other ancient languages) offered by Catholic University's Department of Ancient and Medieval Languages and Cultures. High school students are explicitly welcomed alongside undergraduates and adult learners, with courses offering up to four semesters of college-level study.
FCCLA Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation (STAR Event)
A national FCCLA competitive event in which students research a hospitality or tourism business, build a basic business plan and website, and demonstrate customer-service problem-solving through an onsite case study, judged via portfolio, presentation, and case study performance.
TSA Board Game Design
A Technology Student Association high school competitive event in which participants develop, build, and package an original board game with instructions, pieces, and cards, then demonstrate and explain their design process to judges in a semifinal interview round.
